IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech 2017 Cutoffiiit-hyderabad is the minimum score or lowest rank which is needed to get selected for allotment in the engineering UG program at IIIT Hyderabad. The admissions governing body, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, shall set the cutoff upon various factors – number of candidates, number of seats available for allotment, average, highest, and lowest score/ rank of the applying candidates, reservation norms, cutoff and admissions stats from the last year, and business rules. IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech 2017 Cutoff will be applied for two motives – to reduce the candidate count in the admission process and to pick the best lot of candidates for allotment of the limited number of seats. There are four channels through which admissions are offered in the institute – JEE Main, DASA, NTSE, and KVPY & Olympiad. For each mode, a separate cutoff will be decided. On the official website of the institute, the cutoff will be posted. Only those candidates will be admitted who score marks more than or equal to the cutoff. Read the following article for more information on Cutoff of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech 2017 Admissions.

Features of IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech 2017 Cutoff

For admission in the institute through JEE Main, the cutoff will be set according to the score/ rank in JEE. For admission through DASA, the cutoff will be set according to the academic record and SAT II score of the candidate. In the case of NTSE, KVPY (NK), and Olympiad, no separate cutoff might be declared. Candidates from these channels have to appear for a personal interview round before they are selected for allotment. Counselling for the shortlisted candidates will be done in 4 separate rounds. During counselling, these candidates will be allowed to mark the choice of programs. Higher score naturally means stronger chances of the desired allotment. It is also important to know that rank is directly related to scoring i.e. higher score means the higher position in the IIIT Hyderabad B.Tech 2017 Merit List.
